For many years, Gävle Mobilservice AB has developed and manufactured mobile milling machines. The operators handling the equipment have many years of experience, thereby ensuring high quality results. Our milling machines perform practically any kind of milling, horizontally or vertically. Gävle Mobilservice AB also offers specialised equipment for groove milling.
Mobile shaft lathing will often solve problems with extensive shutdown times, caused by disassembly, transport etc. Using our method, the lathe rotates around the object, thereby eliminating the need for the object itself to rotate, as is the case with conventional lathing methods. This new design in machine technology will handle diameters from 50-900 mm. The method may preferably be used in conjunction with thermal spray coating (metallizing), enabling the original dimensions to be restored.
This method is typically used for processing bearings in transmissions and press cylinders, mounted on objects to large to be suited for transport to a work shop. In addition straightness is accomplished with the work piece mounted, thus avoiding levelling/straightening following disassembly, and minimising shutdown time.
Flanges, gables, covers etc. Using mobile facing lathes, almost any equipment may be processed, regardless of whether it is internally or externally mounted. Most machines are manufactured in aluminium, making the equipment easy to handle. For diameters in the range 0-3000 mm equipment is readily available.
We provide a complete reconditioning program for babbit bearings (pilot bearings, block bearings, main bearings etc.) Three different methods are employed: soldering, remetalling and thermal spray coating. Conversion of self-lubricating bearings to forced oil lubrication is achievable, using our own, thoroughly tested method.
We have extensive experience in manufacturing sintered* linings. We offer linings at very competitive prices with short delivery times. Linings for specialised ceramic applications, i.e. chromic oxide, titanium, aluminium etc. are also within our capabilities. Don't hesitate to ask about our prices!
We has developed a new type of machine that can handle both the grinding and the turning of the usually resulting faults on the turbine (generator) shaft (flange, control stock, bearings, etc.). On-site rebuilding at the customer's mill is one of our specialities. Our service includes turning and metallizing of bearings and the disc filter stuffing box. It saves you time and money.
The combined efforts of Gävle Mobilservice and GL & V Sweden AB have resulted in a unique method for rebuilding worn stuffing box and bearing disk filters. This method avoids dismantling of the filter, thus eliminating long periods of downtime.
At the same time, a more durable coating is achieved on both the stuffing box and the bearings, therefore service intervals are much longer. The new durable metallizing surface will get a hardness of about 350-400 HB. During this on-site rebuilding it is also very convenient to upgrade the bearing material to Robalon, our latest development.
